I need a housemate/flatmate/roomie? How do I put my place on the website?

You need to register as a member first (registration is free), log in and then click on the ‘Offer a Place’ icon on the Find a Place home page. Fill in as much detail or as little detail as you want. Do not put your full address in the Street field, however, sometimes knowing the street that the accommodation is in is useful to the person looking. You can load up to 3 photos if you wish but if it's a dump don't bother.

Am I obliged to offer the place to the first person that contacts me?

No. The same rules apply as if you were looking in the newspaper.

I am looking for a room, how do I find one on this site?

They are two ways: (a) search online using the ‘Find a Place’ option or (b) record your preferences/requirements of your ideal place under ‘Place Alerts’ and we will e-mail you as soon as a matching place becomes available.To have details emailed to you, you must register and become a member.
